Why we chose TN and the Cumberland Plateau.
With digital enterprises on the rise and more and more companies like Google and Microsoft going the route of remote offices.
Today more than ever, people are given more freedom to choose where they call “home”.
As “Creatives”, we are constantly having to procure new material and come up with cutting edge ideas for your clients.
This constant pressure to create viral material can weigh on you at times and it’s important to have a place to get “re-charged”.
One of the main goals at Plateau Creative is to be based out of a place that we find a connection to the outdoors with relatively easy access.
Creative Block is a real thing and can stifle the growth of an agency if not carefully dealt with.
Middle Tennessee has multiple State Parks and is home to the Obed Wild & Scenic River system.
This area is about 20 minutes from our office in Downtown Crossville and has a host of outdoor activities ranging from Mountain Biking, Climbing, Hiking, Bird Watching, & Kayaking
I first visited the Obed River in the summer of 2005 or 2006 and instantly fell in love with the area. We had some good family friends who owned several hundred acres on the Obed River adjacent to the Wild & Scenic designation.
The feeling of being in a complete wilderness is overwhelming when you are in the Obed River or Daddy’s Creek Canyons.
I moved here in 2009, my wife and I were married in 2010 and we haven’t looked back since.
We wanted a place to raise our 3 boys where we can teach them lessons in nature and give them a feeling of self-reliance.
Another thing that I think is hard for creative individuals and digital marketers is to recognize talents in others.
One of the reasons why we have been successful is by collaborating and building relationships with other marketing companies in this region.
There is some serious talent in the Upper Cumberlands and the Crossville area.
Above is an EXCELLENT piece done by Silver Fur Media which beautifully captures the 4 seasons we experience here at the Plateau Creative offices and why we have chosen to base our business on the Cumberland Plateau.
