Is your Drone Pilot licensed/certified?

 In Business, Marketing, Photography

As a realtor, business owner, or marketer, drone photography and videography is an important tool.
Showcasing your business or listings from higher angles is both eye-catching and will retain engagement.

In August of 2016, the FAA(Federal Aviation Administration) is now requiring any drone operator exchanging services for payment to be a licensed drone pilot.

The FAA Part 107 Exam is designed for pilots to have an understanding of aircraft operations, weather reports, and collision avoidance.

Why is this important to business owners?
If you hire a drone operator who is not licensed and there is an incident, your company could be held liable for damage.

If there is an “incident”, the client will be included in the inevitable lawsuit filed by the person who ends up injured or with property damage during that “incident”. Are you really willing to save a bit of money and take that chance? It’s all about risk vs. reward. And they’re likely to have much deeper pockets than that particular illegal operator.

Plateau Creative is one of the only FAA-licensed drone operators in the Upper Cumberlands.
Serving Crossville, Cookeville, Chattanooga, and Knoxville.
We take pride in the fact that we are licensed and insured for aerial operations.

Drone imagery is amazing, just make sure that everything is done “by the book” to avoid future lawsuits and accidents.
